american eagle

Found this somewhat odd group burial at an off beat path from the main avenue inside the Manila North Cemetery. There is no historical marker or any commemorative plaque explaining about this group plot. I am guessing they are among the american soldiers who were deployed here in the Philippines during World War II, any readers out here who knows?

A relative of mine, retired from the United States Army and residing in Manila, was buried in the "Eagle's Plot" in 1952. I wonder if this is the same as the photo. If somebody can find Samuel Dietz, please post a photo.

I believe they are American soldiers that fought during the Philippine-American war 1900-1903?. My wife's grandfather, who died before WWII, is currently buried there with his Filipina wife.
