welcome summer

summer has arrived and we have experienced really hot weather these days, and one indication that summer is here is when you see inflatable swimming pools at the streets! you read it right, inflatable pool on the streets of manila :) most houses in manila doesnt have their own pool, actually only houses at "gated village" or exclusive village" have their own pool but for most manilenyos they make do with what they have. provide an instant pool in front of their houses :) and is an instant hit with kids and adults too

"Bantayan Church was the first parish to be established in Cebu by the Augustinians. It was founded on June 11, 1580 as the Convento dela Asuncion de Nuestra SeƱora. It was one of the few parishes to be a part of the Archdiocese of Mexico (with the Archdiocese of Manila separating only in 1595)"

magellan's cross

hi all, back from vacation at cebu, sorry for not posting earlier, but let me share with you this photo of the historic magellan's cross. this cross is iconic and you can see this in lots of postcards and history books of the philippines, coz technically this is were the history of the philippiens actually started. you all know that the philippines has been colonized by the spaniards for more than 300 years and this Magellan's Cross is a Christian cross planted by Portuguese and Spanish explorers as ordered by Ferdinand Magellan upon arriving in Cebu in the Philippines on April 21, 1521. for more photos of my cebu trip please click here.
