forlorn and forgotten

Couldn't resist taking a photo of this girl looking so forlorn and forgotten. This statue is just one of the many statues "guarding" the dead inside the La Loma Catholic Cemetery (Campo Santo de La Loma). You can see lots of old statues and old tombs here since the cemetery was opened in1884.

care for a bath?

This is the hottest summer ever... wouldn't be surprised why this snake seems so docile and contented while his caretaker bathe him. Actually I really think the snake needed the bath because he's part of a booth inside Manila Zoo where you can have your picture taken together with a snake. Would you mind being hugged by a snake? Well, lots of people seemed to enjoy having their picture taken with the snake, kudos to them for being brave!

squashed

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

One of the happiest places i know in Manila - Luneta's childrens playground!

Aside from the usual slides and swings you see in a typical playground, the place also include giant statues of dinosaurs, odd shaped playhouses like this squash in the picture. Truly a treat for kids and young at heart.
