paterno house


the paterno house at F.R Hidalgo street.

last july 2008 a petition was raised to Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim to stop the high rise construction beside the paterno house. if you care and want to help preserve heritage and old houses at hidalgo street, please sign the petition here.

What is the Paterno House? The photos are interesting. I like those converted jeeps.

honga sana makarami ng sign yung hidalgo petition at sana may mangyari :)

@abraham - It is one of the old houses lining the hidlago street in quiapo, the house is owned by paterno family hence called the paterno house.

thanks those converted jeeps are called jeepney and is the main means of public transportation in manila :)

I know the daughter of Ting Paterno, whose family owns the house- Mailin Paterno Locsin.

The house is owned by another branch of the Paterno family. Branch of Maximino Paterno married to Assuncion Zamora. At present, it is owned by several families, Paternos, Tuasons and Fernandezes
