I like your photograph and also found the Victor Hugo quote interesting. I would think it is the human mind that surpasses all things because it is the human senses that takes in the environment and decodes it so we can appreciate it. I am not so sure what the soul does without the mind.

I selected to write my message on this post because it is too much beautiful, and has this phrase of Victor Hugo, and speaks of serenity that is peace. I have seen another about the starfish story. Good. In Brazil there is a song very romantic and very popular about the "love" between the grain of sand and the star in the sky. Says the story that nobody knew how this romance finished but it was commented by everyone that many years after, so many years appeared the starfish.
Well, there is something else:
By this time when we see and feel that almost all minkand is celebrating Christmas
