mv doulos
MV Doulos is back in Manila! This visit is particularly significant because it is uncertain whether the ship will stop in Manila again, hence i am calling all the book lovers out there to visit the ship and find a bargain in the onboard book fair.
Doulos (greek word which means servant) is owned and operated by Gute Bücher für Alle e.V. (Good Books for All) – a charitable trust, registered in Germany. Doulos is recognised in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's oldest active ocean-going passenger ship and has received more than 20 million visitors.
Doulos visits port cities throughout the world... bringing knowledge, help, and hope.
The book fair will be open to the public until December 23, 2007. Tue – Sat 10am- 9pm, Sun - Mon 2pm – 9pm. (closed on Dec 10, only)
An entrance fee of Php 10 is requested and children under 16 are free of charge, but need to be accompanied by parents or guardians.
The ship is docked at Pier 15. Please visit http://www.mvdoulos.org for more information.

Oh, I wish I were there. I love books!
This is a great idea. And what a marvelous way to get rid of some used books.

i like ships , so thank you
I have heard of the bookmobile, but not a bookboat!
Le Doulos was the tittle of one of the good movies of Belmondo.

wow namiss ko tuloy yan. i've been there long way back. in subic pa.
whoah! dumadalaw din ang Doulos sa La Union, but never had the chance to go there. Sana makapasok ako dyan bago sila umalis..
don't worry ambo, doulos docks at subic before the year ends after it leaves manila.
this will be the last trip of doulos in manila. the boat is already very old and not up to current ship standards, and needs to retire already.
cool
