pink heart


i squealed in delight upon seeing this pink heart of the banana tree, i usually see red banana heart but this is the first time is saw a pink heart! have you seen a pink heart before you've come to this blog?

found this inside the La Mesa Eco Park, they really do have variety of plants and trees. just a short trivia - heart of banana or the flower of banana tree are used as a vegetable and is common dish here in the Philippines, if you want to know how to cook "puso ng saging" do visit MarketMan's blog.

what a coincidence too..guess what, i just had banana heart for lunch - it was in my favorite kare-kare =)

I've never seen a pink one either.

I know the heart of banana is eaten as vegetables in different cultures but I don't think I have eaten it before. I will try.

I just found out that there is a huge filipino community about 20 blocks from my apartment. I will definitely go and check it out this weekend and report back to you.

Very good shot here, and a rare find of a pink banana blossom. Hopefully, the future generations of Pinoys would be able to see more of this.

this is also my first time to see a pink banana heart. very, very pretty, too pretty to become a vital ingredient in my sinigang :D
