human face

“Who sees the human face correctly: the photographer, the mirror, or the painter?” ~ Pablo Picasso

Photo taken from Kusina ni Salud (Salud's Kitchen) is owned and operated by Patis Tesoro, the renowned fashion designer and advocate of indigenous fabrics. The place is a typical old style filipino house with antique collections, and the place is surronded by trees and plants, your sensual and gustatory glands will surely appreciate this place. They also offer lunch buffet every sunday for only 395 per person.

Kusina ni Salud is one of the places i've visited during my road trip if you like to find out how it went, please visit my personal blog for more photos.

I think your neighbor sees the human face for what it really is. The camera only records an instant of time when the face is smiling but missed the time when the face was contorted in terror. The painter can only choose a slice of time to record his or her idea of a human face and has one chance to make it smile or scowl. The mirror only shows what is there when the eyes focus on the image looking back at them.

You neighbor gets to see the human face each time and it can be different each time but it is always you.

ce masque est très beau. On dirait une âme.

This mask is very beautiful. It seems a soul.
