jose p. laurel
José Paciano Laurel y García (March 9, 1891 – November 6, 1959) was the president of the Japanese-Sponsored Republic of the Philippines during World War II, from 1943 to 1945.
EDIT: Thanks to Hilda's query, i forgot to mention where this photo was taken. This Jose P. Laurel's statue is found along Roxas Boulevard, the buildings in the background are the Hyatt Hotel (yellow) and Landbank Building (green).

Magnificent image.
He would have been my favorite postwar President were he won in one of the dirtiest election of his time. Didn't know he has a monument in Manila.
Where is it? I don't even recognize the buildings in the background.
Love your angle on this shot. At ang galing nung sculptor — I can actually see the texture of his piña barong!
who was the artist/sculptor of the statue? and when it was done? thanks.
