These posts are the only thing left standing before avenida is open to traffic again.
The photos below shows the difference after asphalting avenida and removing the benches and other plants that adorn the pedestrian walkway.

UPDATE: a very kind soul gave me an ultra nice and spanking new Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS, last October 2008 which i have been using non-stop since then... Thanks again to the one and only Reyna Elena
UPDATE2: last 2009 i finally got myself a DSLR - Canon Rebel Xsi (Canon 450D) to be exact, and have been alternately using it with the PS from REynz

The first photo looks like so many people going in so many different directions.
I remember the time when I got lost on the streets of Quiapo. What I did was I searched for the LRT line for me to get back on track. ^_^
c'est bete, je trouve tres agreable les rues piƩtonnieres, elles sont vivantes.
it is stupid, I find very pleasant the malls, they are alive.
They have changed the main St. here about 3 times - cars, no cars, & then cars again - waste of money.
they should not open it to traffic anymore its better that way. i love walking in that avenida everytime i go home to pampanga. now it will be smokey and noisy in that area again. mayor lim really doesnt know how to beautify manila. but i like him too for bein fierce agaisnt the criminals.
