caracol festival
Caracol Festival 2010, Makati City
Caracol Festival is not a held in commemoration of patron saints, but aims to instill in the minds of the new generation the importance of preserving and conserving Philippine’s ecology and natural resources. This makes the Caracol Festival an effective campaign for environmental awareness in a form of celebration.
Caracol is a Spanish term for “snail”, since snail’s shells signify protection from life’s harsh events. It is conceived in 1986 to usher in Fiesta Islands program of the Department of Tourism in 1989. Come January 21, 1991, Caracol Festival became the official festival of Makati City with the Department of Tourism as on eof its major sponsors.

anson building

Anson Building, Makati City
I was like a kid when i saw the Anson's Appliance building glowing! the whole building is lighted and i was really amazed to see the colors changing, yeah its my first time to see one like this LOL. i dunno when did they install those lights cause its been a while since i went to that area and i love it!!! i really hang out at the walkway between glorieta and landmark just to capture the building while changing its colors, *grin* (oh yeah, these stuff can easily make happy)

Located between The Landmark and Shangri-la Hotel. The Anson building is seven story tall with the 5 upper levels dedicated to parking. Anson's spacious showcase is in the ground floor housing mostly audio-visual appliances of which the ever coveted multi-brand wide screen LCD TVs are prominently displayed. Other home appliances and the like can be found in the 2nd floor as well as other specialized stores & salons. to know more where the shopping malls are located in Makati please click here

pinay scandal

Last night on my way home i found the perfect pinay scandal photo. I just can't resist taking a picture of these girls (wearing red uniform), all five of them were eating ice cream and giggling like schoolgirls, not sure if you can see the ice creams though (photo taken using my camera phone).
So, where's the pinay scandal? None!!! Not unless they saw me taking their pictures and made a scene then sued me, that would be a scandal indeed! Anyways i just wrote pinay scandal here to help Marhgil Macuha’s SEO experiment and to help remove the nasty porn sites on top of the list of search engines. Thanks Ambo for bringing this project to my attention.

its christmas time
Christmas is just around the corner and it's inevitable for me to post christmas theme photos... i know that the seasons spirit is being commercialized that is why my first christmas photo for you is the nativity scene (belen), a traditional Filipino Christmas symbol, lest we forget the reason why we are celebrating.
Photo taken last year in front of the Philipine Stock Exchange building at Makati, tomorrow i'll show you the new nativity scene decor, still at the same location.
N.B. i'm out of stocked photos and don't have the time to go out and shoot, also my brother who serves as my julalay cum bodyguard whenever i go out to take photos got a job already so it'll be a while before i have some fresh photos for you.

ninoy aquino day
This statue of Ninoy can be seen at Paseo de Roxas, Makati. No, the statue is not being transported by the truck... it has been there for years now and will stay there for a long time.
Brief history: 24 years ago, Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. was assassinated at the Manila International Airport (now named the Ninoy Aquino International Airport)upon his return from his self imposed exile. He was the main opposition leader of the then President Ferdinand Marcos, and the anger of the Filipino over his death led to the 1986 Edsa People Power.
Update: i just to have to add this video.

fire!
Not a real fire though but a fire drill exercise… it is a fire simulation and the man nearest the fire is demonstrating how to use the fire extinguisher properly. Photo taken this morning at my work place. Annually, buildings in the Philippines are required to have a fire drill exercise in compliance with PD1185 otherwise known as the Fire Code of the Philippines. During the fire drill, the special rescue unit and emergency responding team demonstrates various techniques, which include extraction of trapped victims, unfortunately there is no rappelling this year, cause according to the main man, there is an ongoing fire somewhere in manila and well of course real firemen are more needed there. I've also learned that a burning LPG tank does not explode like we see in the movies. Yes this isn’t in Manila but in Makati, it is one of the cities that comprise Metro Manila.
