panutsa



Panutsa or panocha is a sweet treat that looks like a flat disk of crystallized dark brown sugar that is studded with peanuts. Typical "pasalubong" from southern tagalog provinces. so you like this one? as for me - i lurve it! :D

Now that's interesting — we have different definitions of panutsa. That's what we call the flying saucer-shaped disk of solid, raw brown sugar. Of course, I can't remember what we used to call this peanut disk. Haha. And no thanks to you, now my tongue is looking for some! ;)
