manila zoo's elephant
revisited Manila Zoo after two years and nothing much has changed since then, except that they are renovating the reptile cages. the entrance to the Manila Zoo is surprisingly still the same from my last trip to the Manila Zoo... still at 40 pesos for adult and 20 pesos for kids, children below 2 years old gets a free entrance to the zoo, while Manilenyos get a 50% discount as long as proper id are presented.
anyways, meet Mali, the 31 year old elephant resident and the star of Manila Zoo... and yes she is indeed the same elephant trotting at the zoo when i was still a kid!

care for a bath?

This is the hottest summer ever... wouldn't be surprised why this snake seems so docile and contented while his caretaker bathe him. Actually I really think the snake needed the bath because he's part of a booth inside Manila Zoo where you can have your picture taken together with a snake. Would you mind being hugged by a snake? Well, lots of people seemed to enjoy having their picture taken with the snake, kudos to them for being brave!
